CoMo Dental fabricates EMA (Elastic Mandibular Advancement) appliances to help give our patients a better night’s sleep. Impressions are taken at our office and an EMA appliance is fabricated at a lab. Upper and lower trays snap on the teeth and are connected by straps that come in various flexibilities and lengths. The appliance advances the lower teeth forward keeping the airway open. Your dentist will assist in fitting the straps for the desired results. An EMA is a good option to help minimize sleep apnea for patients that will not tolerate a CPAP machine.
